Driven by a deep passion for food and wine culture, we focus primarily on the wines of Burgundy, while also offering exceptional selections from Champagne, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Bryant Mao joined Pearl of Burgundy in 2016 and currently manages its operations in Canada, contributing to the promotion and distribution of fine wines from Burgundy and other renowned European wine regions.

Bryant is an accomplished wine professional based in Vancouver BC, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and wine industries. He has built an impressive career spanning internationally acclaimed restaurants, including London’s Michelin-starred Chez Bruce and Vancouver’s Hawksworth Restaurant Group, where he led wine programs and developed expertise in fine-wine selection, cellar management, and food-and-wine pairing. In 2015, he was recognized as Sommelier of the Year by Vancouver Magazine, followed by being named Canada’s Best Sommelier in 2020 by Canada’s 100 Best. His career reflects a deep commitment to wine excellence, industry knowledge, and the discovery of exceptional producers and wines.

Bryant Mao a rejoint Pearl of Burgundy en 2016 et dirige aujourd’hui les opérations de l’entreprise au Canada. Sommelier professionnel fort de plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans l’hôtellerie, il a travaillé au restaurant étoilé Chez Bruce à Londres, avant de diriger les programmes de vins du Hawksworth Restaurant Group au Canada pendant huit ans. Il a été nommé Sommelier de l’année par le magazine Vancouver Magazine en 2015, et figurait dans le classement Canada’s Top 100 en 2020.
