Pearl of Burgundy is still managed today by our three original founders. Although each came from different professional backgrounds, all of them share an unmatched passion for fine wines and a special affinity for the food and wine culture of France.
In 2010 the founding members decided to turn this passion into a business, and created Pearl of Burgundy with the intention to become what we, as private wine connoisseurs, would look for in a wine company.
David Ben Yair is a CPA who enjoyed a career as CFO of tech startup companies for over a decade. Kuti Doyev has 25 years of experience in the finance industry. Eli Shoshani managed a real estate development business on five continents for over 25 years.
In 2015, Michael Jessen joined the Pearl of Burgundy team as the head of the United States and Americas, and is leading the company’s expansion in these markets. Michael has over 15 years of experience in the global fine wine industry as Managing Director of Zachys Wine Auctions and founder, CEO and President of Wally’s Auction House.
Our clientele mainly comes from Hong Kong, Macau, China, Singapore, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, and the United States.**
While our main focus are the wines of Burgundy, our portfolio includes some of the finest wines and domaines from Champagne, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Pearl of Burgundy specializes in domains that focus in terroir-driven, natural and unique, domain bottled wines. We carefully choose the wines we offer to our clients and follow each of our domains closely, visiting each one of them on a regular basis during the winemaking process from harvest to bottle. We also taste the wines during the “élevage” process from cask to bottle. Over the years, we have developed personal relationships with many of the wine growers whose domains we represent.
Our commitment to the wine growers and their wines is all encompassing. We not only sell their wines, but we follow their strategy of offering the wines to the people who love them – passionate collectors of fine wine through our exclusive wine club, wine importers, and restaurants that share our passion and commitment.
Our company regularly hosts private events in Asia, France and the USA, where passionate wine lovers have the opportunity to meet the wine growers in person and taste the finest examples of their wines.
Amongst our partners are some of the finest restaurants in the world, including Joël Robuchon, Le Cinq, Arpège, Michel Bras and many others.

We take the utmost care with shipping the wines to our clients around the world. Shipping is handled professionally and exclusively in climate controlled containers, with digital monitoring of temperature and humidity throughout the shipment process.
