Domaine Bizot, a tiny, artisanal estate in Burgundy’s revered Vosne-Romanée and Côte de Nuits, has achieved true cult status among collectors and connoisseurs due to its extraordinarily limited production and uncompromising winemaking philosophy. With only about 3.5–5 hectares of vines and total annual output often between 5,000 and 10,000 bottles across all cuvées, bottles are extremely scarce and highly sought after.

Under the direction of Jean-Yves Bizot, a geologist-turned-winemaker, the domaine employs minimalist, terroir-driven methods — whole-cluster fermentation, little to no added sulfur, long élevage in new French oak, and hand bottling barrel by barrel — creating wines of intense purity and aging potential that defy their appellations and enthrall collectors worldwide. These factors, combined with escalating secondary-market prices and auction records, make Domaine Bizot wines some of the most coveted and difficult-to-obtain in Burgundy.
