Champagne J M Gandon
Champagne
Champagne J.M. Gandon is a very small grower Champagne producer based in the village of Branscourt, near the Montagne de Reims. The domaine is led by Victor Gandon, who represents a new generation of artisanal Champagne growers focused on terroir driven wines and small scale production.
Although the Gandon family has cultivated vineyards for generations, Victor only began producing Champagne under the family label with the 2020 vintage. His project remains extremely limited in size, with production centered around a single vineyard parcel named L’Aubière, planted mainly with Pinot Noir alongside a small amount of Meunier.
The vineyard’s clay, sand, and limestone rich soils contribute both richness and mineral tension to the wines. The domaine follows a careful and low intervention philosophy in both the vineyard and cellar, with an emphasis on expressing the individuality of the site rather than producing a heavily blended house style.
The first release, Les Pièces, quickly attracted attention among Champagne enthusiasts for its purity, precision, and rarity. Although still largely undiscovered by the broader market, Champagne J.M. Gandon is increasingly viewed by collectors and sommeliers as one of the most promising emerging micro grower producers in Champagne.
